Joanie Whitman

Blessed with a wonderful example for a mother Joanie knew she wanted to be a mom herself one day. She remembers her mom starting traditions early and making the little things count. It's not a surprise that Joanie was given skills to become a great mom herself.  For Joanie, having a baby is far and away the single most important thing she's ever done. Because of her passion for children and wanting to help expecting parents ease their stress, becoming a baby planner was a natural fit.   She also credits Alicia, her sister for giving her good baby planning experience since she was able to help take care of her three children when they were babies. Her best piece of advice for parents is to trust your instincts and don't believe just anything you hear even it comes from a specialist - you should check and recheck! Joanie also believes that each phase of a child's life is fleeting so enjoy both the good and the not-so-good while you can.

For the last four years, Joanie has been working as Special Projects Manager for The Soft Landing, where she has gained extensive knowledge about the chemicals we are unknowingly exposed to everyday. With that came her mission to help other parents understand what to worry about and what to leave for another day.  She continues to move toward reducing toxic exposure in her own home.  Toss in a good science fiction film and she has her own little slice of heaven.
