I grew up around a large extended family and any chance I had, I was holding a baby. As far back as I can remember, I’ve had an interest in caring for and loving on babies. My passion started young and has carried me through. As a teen, I nannied for many families. I have a Bachelors degree in Child and Family Psychology and in 2000, I attended my first postpartum doula training. What a great experience! I learned so much and got right to work. I enjoy supporting parents as they experience, adjust to and learn what it’s like to be new parents. I know each family and experience is unique and my intention is to meet each family right where they’re at, supporting and helping them adjust. I am honored when families invite me into their homes, considering what a very special time postpartum is.
Not only do I have experience as a postpartum doula, but I am also a Mom of 4. I have firsthand experience and have learned to multi-task and manage schedules. I know how tiring and demanding new parenting can be. I also know how important it is for new Moms to be well taken care of and get the rest and support they need.
When I am not supporting new families, I enjoy spending time with my family and walking and talking with friends!
