For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of nurturing and supporting families, children, and babies in various roles—child care provider, toddler school director, preschool owner, and postpartum doula. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from PSU in 2006. Throughout the years, I’ve also spent countless hours exploring and practicing compassionate communication.
Becoming a parent in 2016 was a life-changing experience that deepened my empathy and enriched my ability to support other families during their own transformative times. I learned how difficult the postpartum period can be as I battled postpartum depression for four years. After getting lots of help from amazing therapists, doctors, friends, and family members, I emerged stronger, more balanced, and humbled, ready to help other families as they embark on their postpartum journeys.
I truly believe that every family deserves the warm embrace of emotional, practical, and educational support in the precious first 12 weeks with a new baby. It fills my heart with joy to help parents discover and trust the wisdom and intuition that already lives within them. It is so rewarding to watch families learn and thrive as they welcome their little ones and grow their families. I am dedicated to offering kind, non-judgmental, and evidence-based care to all families, regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disabilities.
I’ve been fortunate to live in a close-knit intentional community in Portland for the past decade, sharing my life with my incredible partner and two children. When I’m not providing doula care, you might find me planning fun community events, playing in the forest, dancing, doing Pilates, cooking up something delicious, or simply savoring precious moments with my kids.
